I’ve known Jude for almost 10 years. The last half of our friendship has included a shared journal. We each have it for several years, including in it the artistic expression of our big life changes. I think I need to finish up my turn and hand it over to her.

Jude recently opened a wheel building shop in Portland called Epic Wheel Works. Her goal was to make 12 wheels in her first year. She made 150. Her goals for Epic include creating positive change in her community and beyond. She works three other jobs to support herself and her business.

Here is a brief clip of an interview with Jude, and why I think new business like hers make the difference this world needs.
